Generation Spark partners with you to build authentic intergenerational relationships between youth/young adults and spiritual mentors in your church. the Generation Spark process?

Congregational Expectations:

  • Team point person
  • Congregational team of 3-4 participants who can lead within congregation
  • $2,000 price for congregation 150 members or less
  • Attend all relevant training (4 mentoring 101 zoom calls) and necessary monthly coaching calls

Cohort Includes:

  • Generation Spark team interview conversations
  • Generation Spark Assessment
  • Online Training Materials (Mentoring 101: Defining mentoring, 201:Building your program, 301: Storytelling and Evaluation)
  • Personalized Team Coaching
  • Supplement resources that include director handbook, mentor/mentee journal, safe church supplemental policy, etc.

The Generation Spark timeline is as follows:

  • May 2025 – September 2025: Congregational Recruitment, Generation Spark congregational interviews and congregational applications
  • October 2025: Cohort begins with Opening webinar and subsequent mentoring 101 zoom calls (4)
  • November 2025 – Feb 2026: Mentoring 101
  • Feb 2026 – March 2026: Mentoring 201
  • March 2026- April 2026: Mentoring 301

New cohorts begin every October and applications. The cost of the Generation Spark process is as follows:

  • $2,000 price for congregation 150 members or less
    • Additional 500 for every 50 members
  • Cohort costs include all printed and digital materials for implementation Generation Spark, in person retreat costs (eccludes transportation), and congregational leadership coaching.
  • Scholarships are offered to churches that are a part of the Reformed Church in America and Christian Reformed Church in America denominations.

The application link to apply for the Generation Spark cohort will be made available for churches May 15 – September 30, 2025.
