Joining the 2026-2027 Cohort is a three step process:
Step 1: Fill out a Written Application
Step 2: Have an Application Interview
Step 3: Register for the cohort (available to churches after completing steps 1 & 2).

Want to apply for
the Generation Spark process?
Congregational Expectations:
- Team point person
- Congregational team of 3-4 participants who can lead within congregation
- $2,000 price for congregation 150 members or less
- Attend all relevant training (4 mentoring 101 zoom calls) and necessary monthly coaching calls
Cohort Includes:
- Generation Spark Pre & Post Congregational Assessment
- Live Webinar Trainings
- 1 Year of Personalized Team Coaching
- 2 Years of access to Online Asynchronous Training Materials
- A In-Person learning and collaboration event
- Supplement resources that include director handbook, mentor/mentee journal, safe church supplemental policy, etc.
Timeline
- March 30, 2026 – July 30, 2026: Application open!
- September 2026: Cohort begins with Opening webinar
- September 2026 – December 2026: Mentoring 101 (Via Zoom Webinars; Series of 4 Webinars on Thursday evenings throughout the fall. Exact schedule To Be Announced.)
- December 2027 – February 2027: Mentoring 201 (Asynchronous online learning.)
- February 2027: In-Person Event (Location TBD)
- March 2027- August 2027: Mentoring 301 (Asynchronus online learning.)
Financial Investment
- $2,000 price for congregation 150 members or less
- Additional 500 for every 50 members
- Cohort costs include all printed and digital materials for implementation Generation Spark, in person retreat costs (excludes transportation), and congregational leadership coaching.
- Scholarships are offered to churches that are a part of the Reformed Church in America and Christian Reformed Church in America denominations.
